"Really, Dad, you didn't have a computer when you were a kid?" asked Molly.

"Computer?? We didn't have cell phones, the Internet, or cable TV back then. We were lucky to have a black and white T.V......well, Honey, time to go to sleep," said Dad, reaching over to turn off the light.

"Not so fast," said Molly. "Don't I get a goodnight story?" Dad was so forgetful.
"O.K., O.K. What would you like to hear? Pinocchio? The Ugly Duckling? The Gingerbread Man?"

"I've heard all those stories a million times. You tell me a story from when you were a kid," said Molly. "Maybe one of those 'Little Jackie' stories?"

Dad's face suddenly had a big smile on it and he said, "I can do that." And so he began....

Once upon a time, although it wasn't a long time ago......Jackie Berry and his friends were running down the avenue at breakneck speed. Lily, Jackie's mom, spotted Jackie and caught him in her arms.
"Where are you running so fast?" she asked.
Ma, it was awful! Fuji came out of his store with an axe and he was going to kill us!" said Jackie, all out of breath. Lily did her best not to laugh. For years she had been hearing crazy stories about Mr. Fuji.
